Monnogrammist "K.F" : Nude Boy - Wood Carving - Ca. 1910-20

*
Now here is a small artwork in a medium you just do not see every day of the week: a standing figure of a nude boy carved in wood. Of course you see the old church figures of putti from the 17th and 18th centuries but I can't recall seeing a bronze-like figure like this in turned wood. The obviously accomplished artist-sculptor only graced us with his initials "K.F." so he or she is lost to history but his or her talent is preserved in this small carving. The description on the eBay site indicates a 1910-1920 time period for the execution of the work. It measures 31cms in height (slightly over 12 inches).
